The iranian regime arrests lawyers defending detained protesters

In Iran, local media remains under heavy pressure from the judiciary and security services, leading to a state of forced silence. However, despite this media blackout, reports of systematic human rights violations in Iran continue to leak. The pressure on civil society has reached a new peak: according to the independent Iranian Bar Association, nine lawyers have been arrested simply for performing their legal duty—defending protesters in Iran.

Over 300,000 eye injuries: the brutal cost of dissent

Even with severely restricted internet access, horrifying details of the security forces’ crackdown are emerging daily. The Iranian Teachers’ Association recently reported that 100 students and nine teachers have been killed during the recent unrest, calling for urgent international condemnation.

The medical toll is equally staggering. Data from specialized eye clinics and interviews with medical professionals suggest that over 300,000 people have suffered eye injuries caused by the security forces’ use of force.

  • Systematic Targeting: Reports indicate a deliberate pattern of firing at the faces of demonstrators.
  • Medical Crisis: Specialized centers are overwhelmed by the number of victims requiring surgery.
  • Ongoing Arrests: While people seek medical help, the judiciary continues to arrest citizens and threatens to seize the assets of anyone supporting the movement.

Targeting athletes and stripping assets

The crackdown has extended to the nation’s sports icons. Reports are mounting regarding the arrest of prominent athletes, including international medalists. Currently, their whereabouts and legal status remain unknown.

Furthermore, the regime’s judiciary has openly declared its right to confiscate the property and wealth of individuals who have voiced support for the protests. This strategy of financial “strangulation” is a clear attempt to silence dissent through fear and economic ruin.

Hope beyond the islamic republic

Despite the fear, a powerful hope is growing: the hope for a future without the clerical regime. Given the recent killings and the deep-seated dissatisfaction shared by the majority of the population, many believe the Mullahs’ regime has reached a point of no return. The Iranian people are no longer just demanding reform—they are envisioning a new era of freedom and dignity.

Act now: stand with the people of Iran

The international community cannot remain a silent witness to these atrocities. Information is our strongest weapon against the regime’s wall of silence.
