The Welle Association and its volunteers, who are themselves victims of the mullah dictatorship, have been working tirelessly for decades to promote human rights and freedom in Iran. Through international activities, public relations, legal work, continuous vigils, international conferences, publications and a satellite programme, we have helped to save the lives of many people from execution through international pressure on the regime ruling Iran. We have secured the release of imprisoned young women and human rights activists, giving families, especially mothers, back their loved ones and their hope.

With a legal campaign, we were able to achieve the conviction of several perpetrators of this dictatorship in courts here in Europe, thereby increasingly tying the regime’s hands when it comes to repression against the population in Iran. We have also succeeded in having a UN commission of enquiry set up.
