Urgent Petition to Save the Life of Arghavan Fallahi

Arghavan Fallahi

We, the undersigned, urgently call on the United Nations, international human rights institutions, human rights organisations, and influential public figures to take immediate action to stop the execution of Arghavan Fallahi, a 25-year-old political prisoner in Iran.

Arghavan Fallahi was sentenced to death on 1 July 2026 by Branch 15 of the so-called Revolutionary Court in Tehran. She was arrested on 25 January 2025 and held in solitary confinement for months. During this time, she was subjected to physical and psychological pressure and denied a fair trial.

She was arrested on 25 January 2025 and held for months in solitary confinement, subjected to physical and psychological pressure, and deprived of her right to a fair judicial process.

Her life is now in immediate danger.

We appeal to all relevant international institutions and human rights defenders to intervene immediately, demand the annulment of her death sentence, call for access to independent legal and medical support, and work for the release of all political prisoners in Iran who are facing execution.

Silence in the face of this injustice endangers human lives. Immediate international pressure can help save the life of Arghavan Fallahi.

Stop the execution of Arghavan Fallahi.
Defend the right to life.
Stand with political prisoners in Iran.

Additional Information:

Nasrallah Fallahi, Arghavan’s father himself, a political prisoner, stated in an audio message smuggled out of the Greater Tehran Prison that agents of the Ministry of Intelligence had arrested his daughter “without the slightest evidence” and subjected her to “continuous torture throughout this entire period” in order to fabricate a case against her.

He explained that throughout this entire period, from her initial arrest until 3 August 2025, corresponding to 12 Mordad 1404, when the audio message became public, he had received no reliable information about his daughter. Despite repeated inquiries, she was not even allowed a short phone call.

Although he himself was injured and suffering under harsh prison conditions, his only concern was the question of “whether Arghavan was still alive or not.”

He also warned of Arghavan’s severe nervous migraines and the serious risk that she could be denied necessary medication. He appealed to the public with the words: “Please be my voice and the voice of my Arghavan.”
