Kermanshah prison, Iran missile strike, Dizelabad prison, prisoners in danger, emergency alert, human rights, civilian safety, prison conditions Iran, June 2025 attacks
On June 16th و 2025, a missile strike near a military system in Kermanshah caused multiple explosions in close proximity to Dizelabad Prison. Local sources confirm that several prisoners were injured. The blasts occurred near a suspected weapons depot, raising serious concerns about the safety of all detainees in the area.
Prisons are not designed to withstand war. But today, they have become death traps for hundreds of defenseless people locked inside concrete walls. These individuals—many of them arrested for peaceful acts—have nowhere to run, no shelter to hide in, and no voice to call for help.
Despite the visible danger, Iran’s regime has taken no steps to protect the prisoners. On the contrary, out of fear of public protests, authorities have increased security lockdowns, further isolating the inmates instead of relocating them to safer places. Emergency medical care is limited or nonexistent, and families are left without any news about their loved ones.
